Biography - Bobbi-Jean White

Bobbi WhiteBA (Hons), CA, CPA

Bobbi-Jean White was appointed to the Board on January 1, 2017 and serves as Chair of the Academic Resources Committee, a member of the Executive and Finance and Audit Committees.

Ms. White, a partner in KPMG LLP, has over 20 years of experience in public accounting and specializes in the not-for-profit sector. Her experience has been gained auditing public sector, not-for-profit organizations and other privately owned companies in the form of educational institutions, government agencies, foundations, charities, arts and cultural organizations, membership organizations, religious groups and trade/business associations.

Bobbi is a current member of two committees of CPA Canada. She is a past member of the Standards Committee of Imagine Canada, a national charitable organization that supports charities and non-profits. During that time she co-developed and delivered a national webcast related to the changing accounting standards in the not-for-profit sector. She is also a past member of the Application Review Committee of the Canada Revenue Agency’s Charities Partnership and Outreach Program.
Currently Bobbi serves as Treasurer of AboutFace Canada and as a member of the Scholarship and Investment Committee of the Best Start Health Coalition of Peel. She is the former President and Treasurer of the East Scarborough Boys and Girls Club. She is the 2012 recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Award.
