Andrew (Andy) Lennox was appointed to the Board of Governors on October 1, 2016. He serves on the Investment and Land and Property Committees.
Until 2015, Andy was Senior Vice President at Scotiabank where he was responsible for real estate services for the Bank's domestic and international real estate portfolio. Before joining Scotiabank, he had a long career in real estate where he was responsible for the development of Brookfield Place as well as several other major development projects in Toronto..
During his career in real estate he was also president of The Bank of Nova Scotia Properties Inc. and Scotia Realty Limited; Director of Princeton Developments Ltd. and served on the Boards of MD Realty and Pension Fund Properties; RealPac, the International Council of Shopping Centres; the National Association of Industrial Office Properties and CoreNet Global. He was Chairman of the Toronto Chapter for the International Development Research Council during its transition to CoreNet.
In 2009, he was recognized by the commercial real estate industry and received the NAIOP Community Service Award and in 2012, was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Currently, Andy is Chairman of the Salvation Army National Advisory Board for Canada and Bermuda. He also served on the Board of the Toronto Grace Health Centre. In 2014, he participated with a team of 12 injured Canadian veterans and 24 business leaders, in the largest North Pole expedition of its type. The True Patriot Love Foundation trip raised $1.75MM for Canadian veterans and their families.
